England Vs Ireland match result 2nd march
Those who watched the 27th feb India Vs England match in the Bangalore Stadium would have not thought in the wildest dreams that the side that came so close of chasing the mammoth target of 339 would be beaten by the so called minnows "Ireland". This world cup is turning into a really excitement competition although not likely 'between bat and ball'. The subcontinent pitches with their flat surfaces offering not much of support to the bowlers are becoming the witness of high scoring matches. In past a score of 300 odd was considered a very defend-able total, but now with the event in this part of the world and batsmen used to the newer format of cricket we would see many of the matches with scores beyond 300.
Ireland's Kevin O' Brian's knock was fantastic to watch. His batting made the chase look so easy. At one time for some 100 odd runs they had lost 5 wickets and then this man, now the Hero for Ireland won them the match against England. The result of this match has certainly changed the way the coming match on this Sunday b/w India and England would be watched. Now Ireland aren't any minnows!!

27th Feb 2011 India Vs England match result
Sachin, The God, was in fabulous form and after a while I was pleased to see him play so aggressively. 338, and we as Indians thought the match is over and England at least would not give India such a fight. But we all know what it turned out. As Sachin was a star for the Indian batting innings so was Strauss who out performed Sachin in this match by playing the much needed 158 from 145 balls. At one time it seemed the England team would easily win the match but then Zaheer turned the match into home team's favor by pulling two crucial wickets in successive deliveries. Ajmal shahzad's six in the last over made the match even more interesting and last ball was the decider of the match. England needing 2 to win from 1 ball, but could only manage one run thus the match ending in a tie.
What would be a better result than this for two teams putting up such a wonderful show. None of them deserved to lose!!

Sehwag played as if he has decided to put a statement to the cricketing world that this Indian team is here to create some history. His innings of 175, is his career best in this form of cricket and came at no better time then at the opening match of world cup 2011.
Virat kohli also played beautifully and supported Sehwag with his century. Bangladesh also did not give up easily, they put up a good show ending at 283.
All in all this match was a treat for all the Indian cricketing fans. Stay tuned for more updates..

No match in Eden Garden
Eden garden is a very famous cricket ground and the second biggest in the world after Melbourne cricket stadium. The ground has witnessed very important matches which include the world cup finals of 1987. The semi finals of 1999 world cup between India and Sri Lanka which was called off as Srilanka was in a good position and the crowd set fire to the stands.
This news has disappointed the cricket fans in India and has brought bad reputation to the Indian cricket organizers.
When are we supposed to learn lessons? Common wealth was such a shame, stadiums not ready, bridges collapsing, lifts not working. Is this the way a great emerging Economy and the next world power supposed to be presented to the world?

Groups in World cup Cricket 2011
Indian Team who won the world cup back in 1983 would be looking to win the tournament. Indian team with this last few tournament's performance are a tough contender for the trophy. This probably would be the last world cup for the great batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and He would be very keen on making this a memorable one for the entire nation. Australians who are the defending champions would be looking to make their success count to five, although there recent form does not make them the favorites. West Indies who one the first two world cups are no more in good shape for pulling the world cup. Pakistan and Srilanka who have won once each are also the good teams and may give other teams a good fight for this trophy. England and South Africa who never have had the chance of lifting this trophy in past are both looking very good.
All in all this will be a great tournament and all the teams would give their best in this mega event of cricket.
There are two groups comprising of seven teams in each group. The categorization of teams in the group is as follows
